Cosy Moods

Where every stay becomes memory

Vista finestra su chiesa, Cosy Moods

Behind each door of Cosy Moods a whole world awaits: romantic rooms with a view on the Lutheran Church, industrial charmed accommodations, bright apartments facing the sea. Everything is designed to seek authenticity, independence and beauty.
Trieste is outside of the window, but the true magic  happens inside: when you feel at home in a place that is not your house.

Breakfast

Every morning starts with a slow and intimate gesture: the scent of a just prepared coffee, the delicate jingle of a cup, the light filtering through the curtains. The breakfast kit awaits you in the room with everything you need to start your day with sweetness: Lavazza espresso capsules, tea, milk, biscuits, sugar. A little cuddle, just for you, to be enjoyed calmly.

Facilities

Let yourself be guided by the pace you prefer: you arrive, park and take your time. You move on foot, or maybe you rent a bike and follow your instincts by walking the streets between the sea and the cafes in the centre. WiFi is free, but the true luxury is the connection with what is around you. And Trieste is there, two steps away, that awaits you to make you dream.

Where to eat

If you are looking for a restaurant where to eat something good and local, you can try “il bar buffet da Roby”, in Via Torre Bianca, the “Trattoria da Giovanni” in Via San Lazzaro or “da Angelina” in Via Cadorna; eventually, if you are looking for a restaurant specialized in fish dishes we advise “all’Obelisco”.
In Via Trento, few steps away from Cosy Moods, you will get the chance to choose between several solutions that grant good food and nice locations. Walking along Via Trento, you reach the Ponterosso area, and there you will find other restaurants for all tastes.

Bars

In Trieste, the bars where to drink a good coffee (or, as we say here, a “nero” or a “capo”), are a lot! From the only Sacher bar in Italy, to the historic Caffè Torinese, there are many bars in the vicinities.
Two steps away from Cosy Moods, there is a small bar, Al Tram, where you could have an aperitif accompanied by some exquisite fish canapés, that you should try. You will find other wonderful venues for suggestive aperitifs at sunset along the Ponterosso Canal, or after dinner along the busy Via Cavana and Via Torino.
To eat one of the most famous ice-creams in Trieste you can not miss the historical ice-cream shop “Zampolli” in Via Ghega or try one of the many flavors offered by the ice cream shop “Gelato Marco” in Via Malcanton.

Arts & Culture

There is no shortage of interesting places to see in Trieste! Stop for a moment to observe the beautiful Lutheran church which our Cosy Moods overlooks, because it’s worth it! Near our apartment you will find other interesting churches to visit: the most important are the church of St. Anthony, the Synagogue and the Serbian Orthodox church. You will find interesting temporary exhibitions at the “Salone degli Incanti” and permanent collections of great artistic value at the “Museo Revoltella” and at the “Museo d’Arte Orientale”, but the “Museo Ferroviario” at Campo Marzio could also be a pleasant surprise, at the end of the Rive.
Finally, how not to recommend visiting the historic Castle of San Giusto, the famous Miramare Castle, the evocative sanctuary of Monte Grisa, and the elegant Victory Lighthouse.

Entertainment

If you need advice on current events, don’t hesitate to ask us, we are here for our guests.

Excursions

For a relaxing walk, the Trieste karst is the right place, from which you can also enjoy a beautiful view of the city.
For the ones who love to bike it could be interesting to move along the banks, the city centre and the particular seaside of Trieste, Barcola; furthermore we recommend the cycle path that starts from Colle di San Giacomo, passes through Draga Sant’Elia and gets across the border into Slovenia.
There is also the possibility to take the ferry that connects directly the banks of Trieste with Grado, seaside town only 1 hour away from our center.

Transport

The property is 200 meters away from the train station. Between the station and our apartment, in Via Ghega, you will find the terminus of the line 24, which takes you to San Giusto Castle. In front of the train station, there’s a stop for the line 6, which passes along the Barcola’s seafront and ends near Miramare Castle.
In Piazza Oberdan, also 200 meters from our apartment, there is the stop of the historic Trieste Tram (when the Tram is not running, it is replaced by line 2), which takes you to Opicina, a town in Trieste’s Karst area, where you can enjoy a splendid view of the city of Trieste and take a pleasant stroll along the Rilke trail.
Also in Piazza Oberdan, you will find one of the many BiTs bicycle rental stations, provided by the Municipality, as well as a taxi rank around the corner in Via Galatti.
